Thematic Meeting of GENESYS project at POLEKO International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection

The meeting of GENESYS project “Opportunities of Innovation in Energy Efficiency Field” took place at Poznań International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection POLEKO 2009 on November 25th, 2009.

The meeting was opened by Ms. Karolina Szlasa from Techin, who welcomed guests and made a brief introduction to the GENESYS project. This was followed by presentations by Mr. Francesco Niglia from Innova (Italy) and Mr. Giorgio Recine from Labor (Italy) who talked about ICT4EE field. Subsequently, Mr. Ikbel Tlili from Invent (France) has made his presentation on business opportunities in the ICT4EE field in Poland.
Two external experts have taken part in the meeting and had their presentations: Mr. Paweł Michocki from SIM Spółka Inżynierów, who talked about Green Housing, and Mr. Dariusz Koc from the Polish National Energy Conservation Agency, whose presentation focused on the Smart Metering field.
Following, were the presentation of available technologies from the GENESYS project as a result of work performed during last months:
• INTEGRAL “Integrated ICT-platform based Distributed Control in Electricity Grids”
• DEMAG “Domestic Emergency Advanced Generator”
• TEAHA “The European Application Home Alliance”
• DH-DSM “Demand Side Management of the District Heated System”

• ENERGYSAFE “Low cost, retrofittable, wireless and selfpowered guilding control system for improving energy efficiency in commercial buildings
• DOMOHEAT “Heating systems for domestic and tertiary buildings”

Further, the meeting followed with an open discussion session and one-to-one meetings.
The meeting was very promising and project ideas have arisen from it.
