Study Visits

European Funds Management

We organise study tours for the employees of Public Administration units with the aim of enabling participants to exchange knowledge and experiences with their counterparts in other countries. Study visits are dedicated to European Funds management, incl. Structural Funds.

Special attention is paid to solutions of enhancing the quality of management and ICT tools supporting the process.

During the tour participants learn how the following operations are executed in visited institutions:

• elaboration of strategies for European Funds use
• evaluation of applications and selection of projects
• selection criteria  and contracting
• making payments to Beneficiaries
• acceptation of the documentation of disbursements made during the project
• monitoring and controlling of the activities/project stages including on the spot control.

Inner City Revitalisation

The need of modernisation and revitalisation of city areas and stimulating social and economic changes in degradated urban lands results in undertaking initiatives that improve the quality of living, rearrange the spatial order, promote the economic growth and rebuild social bonds.

The objective of the visit is to:

• illustrate experiences in revitalising urban areas of the Munipalicity of Rome
• present accomplished European projects (URBAN/URBACT)
• exchange knowledge and experiences with Italian experts in the field.

Sustainable Transport

The concept of sustainable transport gained importance as a result of visibly wrong current transportation policy, practice and performance over the last half of the twentieth century. In particular, unsustainable transportation consumes excessive energy, creates pollution and service levels decline despite increasing investments. It delivers poor service for specific social and economic groups.

The visit aims to:

• illustrate Italian experiences in providing Socially and Environmentally Sustainable Urban Transport (The city of Rome)
• present accomplished European projects
• exchange knowledge and experiences with Italian experts in the field.
